Trachea cancer is a rare type of lung cancer, sometimes known as bronchial cancer.
That’s because the trachea (or windpipe) has two branches – known as bronchi, and
this is where the disease usually starts. Most tumors that begin in the trachea
or bronchi are cancerous.

However, other tumors can spread to the trachea (metastasised) from other parts
of the body. It’s not known what causes every type of trachea cancer. However, in
some cases, age and smoking are risk factors.

Treatment may include surgery or bronchoscopic treatments, alone or in combination
with chemotherapy. Other treatments are recently radiation therapy (laser therapy).

This particular type of therapy is expected to restore breathing and slow tumor
progression in patients who are not candidates for surgical removal of the tumor.

Devices providing laser radiation are numerous, but the Portable Surgery Laser System
FDA SIFLASER-1.2A has proven to be among the most efficient.

The [Surgery Laser System SIFLASER-1.2](https://sifsof.com/product/portable-surgery-laser-system-fda-siflaser-1-2a/)
A is specifically designed to perform better and gentler cancer removals, even at
lower power.

As such, the Improved cutting performance makes it ideally suited to all surgical
applications namely Trachea cancer.

What also makes SIFLASER-1.2A highly recommended by otolaryngologists is that it
displays an accurate alignment and exact sighting during the treatment.

For more perfect results, the device is supported with a fibre guide laser. First,
it is compatible with various endoscopic uses.

Second, these special fibres are sterilisable which, in turn, prevents any possible
cross-infection while guaranteeing a clean and bloodless operative area.

The above feature is expected to reduce the thermal damage and to its peculiar interaction
with haemoglobin.

Additionally, the complete absence of water absorption helps drastically reduce
the overheating of the surrounding tissues. This should further reinforce the laser
treatment’s efficacy.

Due to all these advanced options, the SIFLASER-1.2 A guarantees increased cutting
effectiveness, much higher than the one obtained with infrared lasers.

Lasers are a relatively recent addition to cancer surgery. However, following their
efficacy, laser use and applications have expanded rapidly.

In this article, we discuss the benefits of laser therapy and precisely the efficacy
of SIFLASER-1.2 A as a surgical laser device in Trachea Cancer removal.
