Necrobiosis lipoidica is a rare granulomatous skin disorder typically described
on the shin of diabetics. 1% of patients with diabetes will develop it. The later
can occur in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus.

It is three times more common in females than in males and usually develops in young
and middle-aged adults.

The cause of necrobiosis lipoidica is unknown. But, Theories have included blood
vessel changes such as development in diabetes, or antibody-mediated vasculitis
to be the possible reasons.

The complications of necrobiosis lipoidica are often the following :

 * Ulceration complicates 1/3 of cases of necrobiosis lipoidica, usually following
minor injury to an established patch. The ulcer may be very painful or painless.

 * Ulcers due to necrobiosis lipoidica are at risk of secondary bacterial infection
   and delayed healing.

 * Squamous cell carcinoma has been reported to develop in ulcerated necrobiosis
   lipoidica.

Based on all the above mentioned, Necrobiosis Lipoidica appears to be serious skin
damage that necessitates urgent medical interference.

Different treatment modalities have been advocated for necrobiosis lipoidica diabeticorum
but the clinical response is unpredictable. However, Diode Laser laser may be a
useful treatment for improving the telangiectasia and erythematous components of
it.

For this specific reason, the medical company SIFSOF has developed a laser device
that performs an adequate treatment for the Necrobiosis Lipoidica issue.

The device described is called the [Smart Medical 26.2Watt Diode Laser SIFLASER-3.2](https://sifsof.com/product/smart-medical-diode-laser-siflaser-3-2/),
one of the most efficient and highly recommended laser machines when it comes to
treating Necrobiosis Lipoidica issue.

This device possesses 4 wavelengths: 635nm, 810nm, 980nm and 1064nm with Maximum
power of up to 26.2Watt. With such quality, it will offer extremely adjustable,
easy and friendly aesthetic operation that greatly matches with the gravity of Necrobiosis
Lipoidica patient’s different cases.

Another advantage is that doctors could easily track treatment times, save protocols
and view patient profiles in the laser, and even update laser software through the
internet.

To explain in more detail, this Laser’s light will be placed against the damaged
skin tissues, followingly, the photons penetrate several centimetres and get absorbed
by the mitochondria, the energy-producing part of a cell. This energy fuels many
positive physiological responses resulting in the restoration of normal cell morphology
and function.

Correspondingly, the SIFLASER-3.2 will significantly speed up the healing process
and consequently reduce this disease’s affected skin surfaces and regenerate new
undamaged skin tissues.

Necrobiosis Lipoidica is a serious skin inflammation issue. Treatment is undoubtedly
a must. Laser treatment in particular can be a good alternative. It can be done
faster resulting in a faster and more effective recovery.

To reach that end, a highly professional laser machine is needed.  Based on all
the above-mentioned characteristics, the diode Laser system SIFLASER-3.2 seems to
be the most suitable device for diagnosing and treating Necrobiosis Lipoidica disease.
