Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an injection-based therapy. Platelets (also called Thrombocytes) are cells that circulate in the blood and form a clot in the case of vessel damage in order to guarantee and accelerate healing.

This natural healing process is the basis for the PRP therapy where platelets are extracted from any part of the patient’s body and injected in the damaged body tissue through the veins.

Platelets’ injections can be in any part of the body, including the face, scalp (in case of hair loss) and strained muscles.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) can be quite complicated in case the veins were undetectable due to skin damage, the age of the patient, obesity or simply the patient’s skin color.

SIFVEIN can make the whole PRP therapy process way easier.

For instance, the SIFVEINSET-1.0 is a composed of the vein viewer SIFVEIN-5.2 and a trolley that supports it. The vein detector uses a near-infrared technology that interacts with the blood color and illuminates the veins beneath the skin surface, making a visible vein map on the patient’s hand, arm, face, etc.

SIFVEIN provides a wide range of products (portable, desk type, head-mounted 3D, etc.) with different accessories, adaptable to the needs of both the cosmetic/plastic surgeon and the patient.
